Patch 12.1 Housing Preview
The biggest housing update since launch is on the PTR. It brings 256 new decor items, a complete dye rework, shareable house blueprints and pets that actually live in your home. Everything below is already in our catalog, so you can plan your build in 3D before the patch drops.
The headline features
Six changes define this patch for decorators. Here is each one in plain words.
The dye system gets rebuilt
87 dye and pigment items collapse into 9 universal dyes, one per color family. 15 new colors join, old dyes convert automatically, and crafting drops the pigment step.
Read the full dye guide →Blueprints: save and share layouts
Save your whole house, one floor or a single room into 50 account slots, then share it as a code that works across regions. Imports show which decor, dyes and budget you still need before anything is placed.
Pets move in
A new Pet Beds decor category anchors your companions: up to 10 pets indoors and 5 outside. Indoor pets can roam and will pathfind around your furniture.

Spiral stairs, floor and wall tiles, and clean square columns arrive, all dyeable. The entry room can now sit on any floor, which finally makes underground builds possible.
House level 12 and large exteriors
The cap rises from 9 to 12. That means room for roughly 6,000 placed decor, a weekly decor quest at level 10, and large house exteriors in four styles once you hit 12.
Artisanal Rooms: instant interiors
Pre-built, fully furnished rooms (bedroom, armory, grand hall, kitchen and more) in four racial styles, sold for Community Coupons. Drop one in and redecorate from there.
All 256 new decor items
Sourced from Coiled Isle vendors, the Zul'Jarra renown track, the Knock-off Amani endeavor, Season 2 dungeons, the raid and Midnight professions. Items with the color wheel are dyeable. Every card opens the item's detail page with a 3D preview.
Data comes from the Patch 12.1 PTR (build 12.1.0.68745); items and availability can change before release. A few items are still encrypted on the PTR and show without a preview. More: the 12.1 dye guide · the full catalog · community builds.
