What is the WoW Token?

The WoW Token is Blizzard's official, secure way to trade real money for gold and vice versa. A player buys a Token for real currency, then lists it on the in-game Auction House. Another player buys that Token with gold and redeems it for 30 days of game time or Battle.net Balance. The price floats: Blizzard adjusts it continuously based on supply and demand, which is why the gold price you see above moves throughout the day.

Why are EU and US Token prices different?

Each region runs its own Token economy with its own gold supply, player base and demand curve, so the EU and US prices drift independently and are often thousands of gold apart. WoW Tokens cannot be transferred between regions, so there is no cross-region arbitrage — the only thing that matters is the price on your region. We track both side by side so you always know where each stands before you buy or sell.

Should I buy or sell my Token now?

If you are converting gold into game time, a lower gold price is better — your gold buys a Token for less. If you are selling a Token for gold, a higher price pays out more. Use the 24h trend and the longer 7d / 30d / 90d charts above to judge whether the current price is historically high or low for your region. Token prices tend to climb before content patches (gold demand spikes) and dip during quiet periods.

How often does this update?

We pull the live Token price from the Blizzard API every 30 minutes for both regions, so the numbers on this page are never more than half an hour old. For Auction House item prices across 92 EU and 83 US realms, see the live Auction House tracker.

WoW Token — frequently asked questions

How much is a WoW Token right now?

A WoW Token currently costs about 348,690 gold on EU and 253,687 gold on US. The figure updates every 30 minutes.

How much real money does a WoW Token cost?

Blizzard sells the Token for a fixed real-money price (around €20 / $20, varying slightly by region and currency). The gold price is what floats — that is the number this page tracks.

Can I move a WoW Token between EU and US?

No. Tokens are bound to the region they were purchased in and the gold from selling one can only be used on that region. EU and US prices are therefore completely separate markets.

What can I redeem a WoW Token for?

Either 30 days of World of Warcraft game time, or US$15 / equivalent of Battle.net Balance that can be spent on other Blizzard games and services.

Is buying gold with a WoW Token allowed?

Yes — the Token is Blizzard's only sanctioned, ban-safe gold transaction. Third-party gold sellers violate the Terms of Service and risk account closure; the WoW Token does not.
